Weight Calibration

Dispersion Laboratory's mass metrology laboratory is the best option for the calibration of your weights for the calibration of your 1mg to 30kg weights according to the ASTM (ASTM 1 to 7) and OIML classes (E2, F1, F2, M1 to M3). We are also able to calibrate your own avoirdupois weights (lb and oz).

Our laboratory was built to conform to the most rigorous standards of stability. With humidity levels higher than 42% and a temperature maintained at 20 degrees Celcius with a maximum fluctuation of 0.5 degrees per hour, we offer calibration conditions which exceed required standards as well as an unrivalled selection of weights. We have 9 Mettler Toledo balances/mass comparators which we use for calibrating your weights. They permit us to achieve very low uncertainty levels (see the table below).

Our mass comparators, especially our robotized station, offer capacities for calibration unmatched in Canada. This means that your weights will be returned to you much more rapidly for use.

The weight calibration service includes :

  • "As Found" and "As Left" data (this last, if an adjustment was required)
  • Cleaning of your weight
  • Adjustment of your weight according to the class requested (for two-part weights)
  • A detailed certificate and complete online access (sigma.dispersion.ca) to your certificate.

Each calibration performed on our instruments uses traceable SI references (International System of Units).

We offer a complete service from pick-up until the return of your weights. All shipping costs are on us.
